जो दिखती है दूर क्षितिज पर
जिसपे लटकी है धरा, टिका है आसमान
ऐसा ही लगता है जब देखो
पर देखो तो वहां नहीं है
कहीं और है आसमान
कहीं और है जमीं
जैसे तुम और मैं
देखो तो लगते हैं जुड़े
दिखाई नहीं देता पर
जोड़
फिर भी लगता है, है वहां।
English
A faint line,
visible far off on the horizon,
from which the earth hangs, on which the sky rests.
That is how it seems when you look,
but look again and it is not there:
the sky is somewhere else,
the earth somewhere else.
Like you and me:
look, and we seem joined,
but the join
cannot be seen,
and still it seems to be there.
