An interview given in Chandigarh, where Zharotia presented a slide show of his paintings at the Government College of Art. As Head of the MFA courses at the College of Art, Delhi, he urges students to practise art as a passion rather than a way to make money, and warns against copying the West.
He contrasts the physicality of Western art with the metaphysical base of Indian art, and says that as a teacher he emphasises the study of opposites.
