जब भी बैठता हूं
अपने को झिंझोड़ता हूं
फिर भी हिलता नहीं
टस से मस नहीं होता
धंसता ही चला जाता हूं
घुप्प अंधेरे सी गहराई में
जहां टूट जाता है सम्बन्ध भी
अपने से
भय नोचता है बार-बार
निकाल फेंकता बाहर मुझे
फिर से -
मैं जब भी बैठता हूं
अपने को झिंझोड़ता हूं

टस से मस नहीं होता वह अन्तस ।

Whenever I sit
I shake myself,
and still it does not move,
does not budge an inch.
I only sink further
into a pitch-dark depth,
where even the bond
with myself breaks.
Fear claws at me again and again
and throws me out
once more.
