हंसता हूं तो लगता है असत्य है
दुखी होता हूं तो लगता है असत्य है
जब भी अंदर झांकता हूं
विपरीत ही पाता हूं
मेरा खुश होना या दुखी होना
दोनों ही असत्य हैं,
फिर सत्य क्या है
सत्य और असत्य केवल शब्द हैं
और मैं हूं एक जीवित प्राणी
मेरी रगों में सत्य असत्य नहीं
जीवन बहता है
सत्य और असत्य दो दीवारें हैं
जो आदमी को रोक लेती हैं
शब्दों से आगे जाने से
जहां सब कुछ घटता है
पर नाम नहीं दिया जाता
क्योंकि घटना शब्दों में नहीं घटती।

When I laugh, it seems untrue.
When I am sad, it seems untrue.
Whenever I look within
I find only the opposite.
My being happy or being sad,
both are untrue.
Then what is true?
True and untrue are only words,
and I am a living being.
In my veins flows not truth or untruth
but life.
True and untrue are two walls
that stop a person
from going beyond words,
to where everything happens
but is given no name,
because what happens does not happen in words.
